Agosto -August 7, 2019 - Vista Sands: Apoyo de Comportamiento Positivo para Niños en Edad de Primaria  - Lissete Herrera Especialista en Rehabilitación de Salud Mental Servicios para Niños y Adolescentes.

El apoyo de comportamiento positivo (PBS, por sus siglas en inglés) es un sistema de manejo de comportamiento que se utiliza para entender qué mantiene el comportamiento desafiante de una persona. Los comportamientos inapropiados de las personas son difíciles de cambiar porque son funcionales; Sirven un propósito para ellos. Estos comportamientos son apoyados por el refuerzo en el medio ambiente. En el caso de los estudiantes y los niños, a menudo los adultos en el entorno de un niño reforzarán sus conductas no deseadas porque recibirán objetos y/o atención debido a su conducta.

Primer Paso para el Éxito es una intervención temprana que ayuda a los niños que están en riesgo de desarrollar o que demuestran comportamientos antisociales o agresivos a tener el mejor comienzo posible en la escuela. Esta intervención es apropiada para estudiantes de Pre-K a 3er grado. Primer paso para el éxito incorpora el uso de un entrenador de comportamiento capacitado que trabaja con cada estudiante y sus compañeros de clase, maestros y padres por aproximadamente 50 a 60 horas durante un período de 3 meses.

Now, the Imperial Valley LGBT Resource Center guides, advocates, and provides support for many different at-risk groups and populations through drug abuse education, HIV testing and counseling, individual and family counseling, anger management groups, youth programs, community events, and so much more. All of these services are provided free of charge. We’ll talk about the growth, challenges and opportunities at The Center.
