Let's Talk About It May 8, 2025: Soaring Hawks -  Berenice Flynt, Program Supervisor Vista Sands and Soaring Hawks Pedro Sosa, Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist, Soaring Hawks

The Soaring Hawks Program was originally developed as an Innovation Program, created in direct response to feedback gathered through community forums. Community members identified a critical need for services specifically tailored to support young adolescents. This program was in response to the feedback and was designed to provide comprehensive Behavioral Health Services and support to adolescents whose emotional or behavioral challenges significantly impact their ability to thrive at home, school, and within the community. Students referred to the program often experience symptoms such as anxiety, emotional or behavioral distress, anger, or depression factors that may hinder academic performance and overall well-being. Recognizing that each student’s needs are unique, Soaring Hawks collaborates closely with schools to ensure that participants receive both the mental health and educational support necessary for their success. The program equips students with practical tools and strategies to manage their symptoms effectively and navigate daily challenges in a healthy, constrictive manner.
